If you’re looking for affordable Florida colleges, you’re in luck. Getting an affordable education in this state is incredibly easy. In fact, Florida pretty much dominates Bankrate’s list of the least expensive public universities in the nation. Here are a few that make BankRate’s list:

There are plenty of other affordable Florida colleges to consider, so these are just a few to get you started.
Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, Florida and has 15 colleges that collectively offer close to 300 different degree programs. The tuition is very low at this school, and you can attend for $123 per credit if you’re an in-state resident. Out-of-state residents can expect to pay a little over $600 to go to this school, however.
The University of Florida is in Gainesville and features 16 colleges and over 100 different undergraduate degree programs. Class sizes are often kept to 25 students or less. The projected cost of attendance for the 2010 school year is $5020 for in-state students. Tuition is much higher for those who are not residents.
Florida Atlantic University, based in Boca Raton, also makes the list of the most affordable Florida colleges. This school has over 170 degree programs and 40 research centers. If you’re an in-state resident, you can attend for about $139 per credit. Out-of-state residents can expect to pay over $500 a credit.
Located in Miami, Florida, the Florida International University boasts more than 200 degree programs from which you can choose. In-state residents can attend for about $4261 for 30 credits (That’s the fall and spring semesters.) Out-of-state residents can expect to pay almost four times as much, as tuition for them is about $16,660 for 30 credits.
